The Contemporary Northwest Art Awards (Portland Art Museum), the Betty Bowen Award (Seattle Art Museum), the newly formed Precipice Fund (PICA), the Portland Biennial (Disjecta), and the Brink Award (Henry Art Gallery) are all examples of major visual arts institutions stepping up to support the creative work of contemporary artists living and working in the Northwest. In celebration of the 2013 Contemporary Northwest Art Awards, join this roundtable discussion with visual arts leaders to learn more about our regional awards and funding landscape, including what’s similar, what’s different, and what it might mean for the future of our arts eco-system.
