Ansel Adams: In Focus
A lecture with renowned photographer Alan Ross

Wed, 18 Sep, 2013 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

The Photography Council of the Portland Art Museum and Newspace Center for Photography are pleased to present a special lecture with renowned photographer and educator Alan Ross.

The striking images and exacting technique of 20th-century iconic photographer Ansel Adams have been well documented over the years, through numerous exhibits, books and articles. What has not been shared in depth is a view of the man behind the camera—who he was as a person, how he worked, what motivated him to expose film to light, his magical and sometimes irreverent sense of humor. In “Ansel Adams: In Focus,” Alan Ross, Adams’ long-time assistant and and internationally recognized photographer and educator, paints a picture of the legendary artist as only someone who worked side-by-side with him for more than sixty years can.

Free for all PAM and NEWSPACE Members; $10 non-members, $5 students and seniors. Advance tickets recommended and available online.
