Artist Talks and Happy Hour - Brian Lindstrom

Thu, 13 Mar, 2014 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Join artists from a range of disciplines in the galleries for lively conversations about works of art. The talks are followed by a complimentary social hour with libations and snacks in Museum Grounds.

Brian Lindstrom is a filmmaker whose latest film, Alien Boy, premiered at the Portland International Film Festival in 2013. He was selected for the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival, Astoria International Film Festival, and Toronto’s Rendezvous with Madness Film Festival. Alien Boy was awarded Best Film at the Local Sightings Film Festival in Seattle. Lindstrom has a long association with the Northwest Film Center, where he has taught on and off since 1994. His film Finding Normal was a direct result of the “Filmmaker in the Community” project that had him collaborating with recovering addicts and alcoholics on a film about the importance of clean and sober housing.

$5 members; $15 non-members; $12 seniors. Space is limited. Advance tickets are encouraged; available online or on site.
