Although now considered one of the most beloved works from the Baroque period, The Four Seasons was considered a modern and radical composition when it first appeared in 1725. Vivaldi used creative musical techniques that paint a picture of barking dogs, thunder, and heavy winds, to name a few. Members of the Oregon Symphony perform this classic and offer insights into the Italian roots and history of this iconic work.
