Museum Councils
Viewing art is never a passive activity. Behind every work of art is a story offering insight, understanding, and inspiration. Exciting as it is to look at art, we sometimes want more. The Portland Art Museum invites its members to get the full story by joining a council.
Councils enable Museum members to learn more about the Museum, its collections, and art by working closely with a specific department curator and staff. Council members plan lectures, trips, symposia, and programs, bringing people with similar interests together to socialize and study. Your membership dues and donations help support these programs and the Museum's acquisition of significant artworks.
Councils are open to all members of the Portland Art Museum. To learn more about Museum councils, please contact Jan Quivey at 503.276.4242 or via email.
