Enjoy a low-sweat, fun-filled ride to learn the hidden history behind Portland’s bikeway system and what the road ahead looks like. Led by Mia Birk, one of Portland’s leading bicycling advocates and active transportation planners.
Co-organized with Alta Planning.
About Summer Joyrides: The summer months are the best time to get on a bike and enjoy Portland. Our leisurely bike field trips are designed to be a fun and easy way to see some art and architecture, while also learning something about our thriving community of bicycle designers and creative transportation thinkers.
Space is limited; advance registration is required. $10 members, $20 non-members (includes Museum admission).
Don’t have a bike of your own? No problem. Portland State University Bike Hub will rent you an easy-to-ride and comfortable bike for an extra $15. Bikes will be picked up and dropped off at the Museum where rides begin and end, so it’s hassle free. Bike needs to be reserved five days in advance. No day-of rentals. Make your bike reservation online when you reserve your Joyride ticket.
