Paris Parks Now

Sun, 3 Aug, 2014 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Kenneth Helphand
Knight Professor Of Landscape Architecture, University Of Oregon

In the past quarter-century, Paris has reasserted its role as a center of innovation in landscape design. A series of grand new parks and open spaces have been constructed to much critical acclaim, including the Parc de la Villette, Parc André Citroën, Parc de Bercy, Promenade Plantée, the Paris Plage and others. This presentation in celebration of The Art of the Louvre's Tuileries Garden considers some of the new parks of Paris and addresses their history and design.

Members free; non-members $20, seniors and students $17. Advance ticket purchase recommended.
